WMHA/Bridges Program: A Temporary Housing Option for Homeless Families

The WMHA/Bridges Program is a rapid re-housing program providing short-term rental assistance and services. The goals are to help people obtain housing quickly, increase self-sufficiency, and stay housed. It is offered without preconditions (such as employment, income, absence of criminal record, or sobriety) and the resources and services provided are typically tailored to the needs of the person; housing identification, rent and move-in assistance, and rapid re-housing case management and services. Serving Butler, Clermont, and Warren County.

A progressive approach is used to determine the duration and amount of rent assistance. Financial assistance is not a standard "package" and is flexible enough to adjust to households' unique needs and resources, especially as participants' financial circumstances or housing costs change.
