NOTICE REGARDING MAY 2026 HAP

Our agency is currently undergoing a software system conversion. While we do not anticipate any disruption to your Housing Assistance Payments (HAP), there is a possibility that payments scheduled for May 1st could be delayed as we complete this transition. We understand the importance of timely payments and are working diligently to minimize any disruption during this transition.

 

During this transition, you will not be able to access your May direct deposit register through the Landlord Portal. We are working on getting this issue resolved. In the meantime, you may email housing@warrenmha.org to have a copy emailed to you.

 

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement this system upgrade to better serve both you and our participants.

Property owner partners are key to providing affordable housing to Warren County.

WMHA’s property owner landlords play an integral part in the agency’s efforts to provide affordable housing to the Warren Metropolitan Area.  Current property owners can access our new Property Owner Portal (Landlord Portal) for the latest news and updates.

How it Works

WMHA inspects the unit and negotiates a fair, market-driven rent with the owner.  WMHA-assisted residents pay approximately 30% of their monthly-adjusted income towards housing expenses directly to the property owner and WMHA pays the difference.  We operate solely within Warren County, Ohio. 

 

Getting Started 

Common owner violations to remember 

  • ALWAYS maintain the unit in accordance with NSPIRE
  • NEVER accept payments from WMHA for a vacant unit
  • NEVER demand or accept unauthorized side payments from a family -A side payment is any money paid by the tenant to the owner for rent that is above the approved contract rent or above what WMHA has deemed the tenant's portion of rent.
